Since 1990, Alpha Fire has maintained as the local leader for all things fire related, including large projects with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, City of San Luis Obispo and County of San Luis Obispo to drop some names. No project is too large or too small, and we’ve maintained their brand integrity for almost a decade. Our hands-on approach has created a multitude of projects, digital and print.
Alpha had a very cool logo, which consisted of an eagle with computer chips as wings. However, it was very dated and didn't showcase the company name very well. We came in and designed a bold, solid-colored logo that you literally can't miss if you're passing by. It's worked out great as the brand is visible from any distance or size.
This project was a delight to work on, as we specialize in typography and confining an abundance of information in small spaces. Over the years, we find that these corporate-style designs are actually very important, and while looking boring, help the company tremendously when designed properly.
Alpha has a large portfolio of projects which needed to be showcased without overwhelming the viewer for their website. We used a drone to take aerial photography so you could view the scale of their projects, which couldn't be captured with a photo from the facade. The website also boasts quality SEO performance, along with sub-websites that extract other forms of their business for lead generation and online sales.

Beyond the Design
Like all of our projects, we consult with our clients to hopefully enhance the current design or process for the user, and this sticker design did just that. We like to help our clients think outside the box, and their day-to-day work schedule can halter the 3rd eye perspective which is so important, challenging the "why" in each project.
Alpha has a lot of services that they wanted to promote into their business cards. We found the individual contact information worked well on one side, while promoting the general business services on the other. Seems easy, but when there's over 30 words to fit on 3 inches of paper, it takes some craft to make it read properly and not feel overwhelming.
Alpha has been growing every year, and our original full wraps on their fleet were in need of a makeover. This approach, a one-color vinyl sticker, eased the financial blow of getting 30+ vehicles wrapped while keeping the brand messaging clear and concise.
“In 2011 we reached out to Pete Ayer at Moshpit for a rebrand. Our famous eagle computer chip logo, which we hold dear to our hearts, was outdated and we wanted a brand that would represent our new growth and visually gain recoginition through a bold symbol. Year after year, Pete and his team keep us fresh, with new merchandise and website updating, along with project documentation with drone photography and more. Can’t say enough about Moshpit; we are excited for what the future holds, and we know they’ll be growing with us.”
